Dr. Emeka Onyeka
Dr. Emeka Onyeka is the Acting CEO and Executive Director (Technical) of Eroton Exploration and Production Company Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) and Master of Engineering (M.Eng) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Also, he possesses a Doctorate in Business Administration from the prestigious SBS Swiss Business School.
He has over 30 years of diverse surface and subsurface experience in the Oil and Gas industry and has previously occupied various leadership roles in Eroton E&P since joining in 2015.
Before joining Eroton, Emeka had worked in various capacities including wells reservoir and facility management, production technology, production operations, project and facilities engineering, drilling and completion and well intervention for Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC – NNPC), Baker Hughes company limited, Total E&P and Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited (SPDC) where he spent 16 years.
Emeka is highly experienced and versatile in brown field rejuvenation, production optimization and management and a WRFM processes digitalization champion. He was pivotal to the phenomenal ramp-up of production of OML-18 from 10,000 bpd to 50,000 bpd within a period of 1 year following the asset acquisition by Eroton E&P in 2015.
Emeka has authored several technical papers and contributed in various capacities to the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Society of Petroleum Engineering (SPE) where he has been a member for over 30 years.
