Hundreds of students from secondary schools and tertiary institutions in Rivers and Bayelsa States thronged the ICT Centre in the Rivers State University to compete for slots in the Eroton Exploration and Production Limited scholarship scheme.
Eroton Exploration and Production Company Limited organised an aptitude test for students who qualified for the 2019 NNPC/EROTON JV Scholarship Award on November 13, 2019, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
A total of ninety-three secondary school students and one hundred and thirty-three university undergraduates from Rivers State/OML 18 Host Communities participated in the test. Successful candidates will be given a scholarship award to complete their education in secondary and tertiary schools respectively.
Now in its second year, the Scholarship is part of Eroton’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. The company is committed to empowering, supporting and creating shared value in its host communities.
Mr. Onajite Okoloko, Chairman Eroton Exploration and Production Company Limited attended the Russian- Africa Economic Forum on the 23rd-24th of October 2019.
During the forum, the Chairman participated in several plenary sessions on the role of Russia’s agenda in Africa and its promotion, Africa’s role in the international financial system, expanding cooperation, export and investment, as well as security challenges.
The Russia-Africa Economic Forum is an important first step towards creating favourable conditions for the development of trade and economic relations between Russia and Africa and to diversify the forms and areas of Russian-African cooperation. A significant set of trade, economic, and investment agreements are expected to be signed following the conclusion of the Forum.
The Forum was attended by African heads of state, representatives of Russian, African, international business and government agencies, and representatives of African integration associations.
