Anthony C. Okoye is the Head, Health, Safety, Environment & Security of Eroton Exploration & Production Company Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Science Technology & Chemistry/Biochemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Benin, Edo State.

He possesses over 23 years’ experience in the Upstream, Service Sector, QHSE Management Consulting and Business Development of the Oil & Gas industry.

Anthony’s professional career began with Hobel Resources Limited, where among other tasks, he supervised UNDP-assisted projects in Delta State. His working experience cuts across several other companies including, Emval Holdings, SPDC and Seplat Operations. In 2012, he joined Midwestern Oil & Gas Limited where he rose to the principal position of Head, QHSE before joining Eroton in January 2021 in similar capacity.

He has numerous professional trainings & certifications in QHSES Management and Training, Oil Spill Management, Project Management and Executive Team Leadership.  He is also a Lead Auditor in ISO 14001, ISO 9000 & OHSAS 18001 Standards. This is evident in Anthony playing a key role in Midwestern’s 10 million Man-hours Lost Time Injury-free milestone attained in 2016 and being part of the foundation members that pioneered the bill on Institute of Registered Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON).

Anthony is a member of several professional bodies including – Institute of Registered Safety Professionals of Nigeria; Standards Organization of Nigeria QMS National Auditor; Nigerian Institute of Management; International Institute of Risk and Safety Management, United Kingdom; American Society of Safety Engineers; Technical Committee Member, Clean Nigeria Associate; Member Safety & Environment Subcommittee of Oil Producers Trade Section of Lagos Chamber of Commerce.
