Abiola Lawal is the Deputy Managing Director and Acting CFO of Eroton Exploration and Production Company Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria and an MBA from the Graduate School of Management, University of California, Irvine, USA.

Mr. Lawal is a seasoned executive in the energy industry both globally and locally. He has over two decades of experience cutting across multiple countries and continents including Africa, USA, Europe and China. He brings to Eroton extensive experience across diverse industries and functions including strategy, operations, finance, shared services and technology.

Mr Lawal’s has a proven record of leading and maximizing organization performance and results via organic growth, mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, asset rationalization, balance sheet and finance optimization, operational accountability etc. and market driven key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure value realization for stakeholders.

Prior to Eroton, Mr. Lawal was Senior Vice President & CFO of Camac Energy Inc., a New York Stock Exchange publicly listed oil and gas exploration and production company focused on energy resources in sub-Saharan Africa and operator of OML 120 & 121. Mr Lawal was also top executive at Nigeria’s Leading integrated energy company, Oando PLC where he served as the Group Chief Strategy Officer and was responsible for and assigned several transformation projects with outstanding results in strategy, operations & technology.

Mr Lawal also acquired broad previous international experience with global companies including Ernst & Young LLP, The Walt Disney Company and SAP AG.

Mr Lawal is a member of Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), Institute of Directors (IOD) & Nigeria Gas Association (NGA).
